Anyone live near Southend?

Just wondering if anyone lives near Southend-On-Sea. Im looking to get either a Mk1 172 or a cup, but being a young driver, dealers dont think im serious about buying and so are relunctant to take me out for a test drive.
Anyone out there with a cup or a phase 1 who fancies taking me out, im not fussed about driving it as ive driven a ff phase 2 172. Just want to feel if there is any difference in performance. Many Thanks

I live bout 45 minutes from Southend mate and i've got a 172 Cup , there is a Bluewater meet this Sunday come down and ill take you out in it.

Most Garages near me where the same mate when i bought my car in december don't let it bother you though

OK well if i can get there i will but no guarentees as my car is being sold on friday so i will have no wheels Looking at a cup at the weekend so hopefully il be able to turn up in that if i buy it
