I've used one for years , gets rid of the majority of the water before attacking whats left with a waffle weave towel . Well worth the money imo .

I always think of these as a valetors tool rather than anything a detailer would touch. I mean the top detailers wont even stroke a waffle towel down a panel, they dab it, ask Rich.
However the blades are also awsome to use on tiled bathroom walls when giving the room a clean or removing water from the walls after a shower.

When I used to do service valets I was given an old wiper blade to use, now that's hardcore because if you let it slip... El Scratchito! But this is where, as a valetor trying to get through 30 cars, a day you make up your time; through not having to spend as long shammying.

Use mine on the daily drive silver 306 not something I would use on a car that was 100% swirl free or on dark colours.

Is very effective and if used carefully should not inflict any marring, but one bit of missed grit and you will induce some damage.

They are pretty good if used in the right hands, although not used mine on the Clio for a while.

Just make sure to rinse it down to get any grit off it before using them and should be fine.

Yeah worth getting I would say, even if just used on the windows. On silver cars should be fine though if your carefull, although with a decent towel like the Miracle one doesn't take long anyway, especially if you have two - 10 minutes tops if your quick.

Ye can't be hard to use on silver. I normally use the miracle towel but it gets to wet after a while so this should help.

People that say these will 100% ruin your car are talkin drivel! I only use it on the roof and glass...But i wipe it and warm it in the bucket for a few mins...No probs! AG one for me.

Think that is the older style....Have had mine for 6 years now.

Halfords are selling the newer 'RED" one which is even better, and more flexible...better for the arse end of the car than the old style.

As a vehicle appraiser they are an essential tool for wet weather inspections. The one I have looks just like the one in first link, sure it says hydra flexi blade on it or summat like that. It's definitely a good idea if using it on your own car to have a cloth handy to repeatedly wipe the blade with during blading off.

  Mito Sportiva 135
Yeah Hydra is the brand, thats the one I have anyway and has lasted a good 3-4 years, not like something that wears out although the ones we used as the dealership were a bit worn on the lips, but that was using them on like 15-20 cars a day 6 days a week!

  Shed.
warm it up in hot water first and keep it clean and you should be okay. ive never used one, and i dont want to as i have a black car.

Cheers for the tip - mine's getting a little tired now - might get one of these new ones.

I've used one for over 6 years (three years on a "Show n Shine" winning car). I warm it and clean it first, then wipe the blade after every wipe on the car. Wouldn't be without it. BUT you DO have to be careful with it, if you slip with it you could damage the paintwork.

^ was thinking the same lol, the plastic is pretty soft anyways!

Also Rich, as much as I like your new car I think you need to upgrade your avatar, your old one with the 182 will take some beating...

EDIT: on inspection is appears to be a photo taken of the actual car and not just a random GTi badge, so I shall, as per usual, get my coat...

  Mito Sportiva 135
Ha there will be no cleaning of the underside of my car...

...although I do have 3 months to kill over the summer, so I may well lose the last scraps of dignity I have by crawling underneath my car to clean it and all my neighbours thinking I am even stranger lol!

Not FTW then you would say? Similarly blew it with the Anjeline Jolie lookalike on my road - GUTTED!
