i had an rt and hopefully buying a valver this week, totally un modded 1, but if they are as high as an rt then i will be looking at lowering it, so does any1 know the standard height or a valver compared 2 an rt?

do valvers look half decent if you dont lower them? any side pics of an un lowered valver would be great!

definately lower than an RT. When you see a standard RT it's crazy just how high they are, lol. I've not got any pics of a standard height 16v but imo they look awesome with most things standard spec (wheels, body etc) but lowered.

  Valver
Valvers sit quite nicely as standard, though a further 40mm drop looks better but then you tend to scrape the exhaust on everything!

Valvers look great dropped a little bit (say 30mm or so)
I used to love mine, you couldn't see the front springs on it at all (and it was standard)

Mine is lowered 30mm apparently! took it too xtreme in harlow before slammed the back loads, eventually got it level, anyway how do you stop the exhaust rubbing over bumps, Bigger wheels??

Its probably thr link pipe, pre axel thats knocking on the hanger, get some HT bump strips to sort it

It's the middle silencer that usually hits. If you don't mind a louder exhaust then get rid of it!

the exhaust tends to hang quite low sometimes on all Mk1's, though it seems if adjusted properly you can get it to hang level. The williams came with an extra exhaust hanger to stop that happening though. If you wanted you could get an extra hanger welded on to support it, it's usually just at the 90 degree bend that it catches.
