Atv3 audio help

Tried streaming a film to The atv, the video came through but no audio. Turned off airplay and the sound and video worked on the ipad.
Tried streaming YouTube to the tv, got the video but no sound.
Mirrored the Ipad to the tv and got sound and video.
Tried to just stream a film and didn't get video.


Same thing happened with my 5s, everything has up to date software and I was streaming a film fine last night. Any ideas?

For anyone else having this problem

settings > general > restart worked for me

Just like any iOS device, they need to be restarted now and then.

I find its quicker to hold Down+Menu for a few seconds and then release.

Is that a quick way to restart?

I use my phone/iPad to control the atv, unsure if down and menu would work with those

Yes it is and no it wouldn't.
