quick question.
does it turn sidelights on and then headlights as it gets darker?
or is it not that clever of a feature?
have only just found out I have them so just wondered how sensitive they are as I live in an area with a lot of small lanes so I do use sidelights pretty early on.
especially this time of year.

Sidelights are for parking, so no.

Yes, which is why they're also called parking lights.
Used for parking on higher speed unlit roads.

if i can make myself more visable down tight country lanes then sidelights do the job. I dont know anybody who would use them to park.
use them when already parked up yes.
anyway, so if I have sidelights turned on at the stalk, will the autolights take over and put headlights on when it gets darker?

No, auto lights only work when the lights are turned fully off.
