Back brake discs and pads

  Renault Clio Sport
Hi

I have a 53 172 Clio sport and i need to know a few things about the brakes

1) What is the minimum depth for a brake disc
2) I have serated discs at the moment, i am just a road user, do i need to maintain these or can i go for the normal discs as there seems to be lots of different ones and the prices vary.
3) Is there anywhere where i can find how to change them

Please help

Thanks

Not sure about the minimum width for the discs...

What is a "serated disc"???

Just go for standard discs or upgrade to Brembos if you are a road user (G172 on here is the best price I found). I've just changed my brakes to Brembo vented (not drilled or grooved - just solid) High Carbons on the front, rears with bearing pressed in and brembo pads all round. Was a doddle to change them, definitely do it yourself if you are a bit handy. Would recommend you use a torque wrench so you don't overtighten the nuts and bolts!

Go to the guides section, there are a few guides on there, but you need to be paid member... well worth the membership fee tbh as you'll save a bundle in garage fees!

Minimum rear disc thickness is 7mm and centre nut torque is 175nm so use a torque wrench.
