basics of using rotary/pc..

My flatmate has just got himself a rotary (even after me telling him a pc would be much better)

Basically we both have black cars so wanna have a go at them.
as a total newbie to this detailing malarky, what pads do we use, what products are best?

I had a read on autopia but would like you guys oipinion, cheers in advance!

Rotary will produce better results anyway once mastered.

Do a search on here as to the products been discussed a fair bit.

Depending on defect levels as to what combos to use. In most cases for me:

Light Cut Pad or Polishing Pad - Menzerna Intensive Polish/Poorboys SSR 2.5
Polishing Pad or Finsihing Pad - Menzerna Final Finish

The either Cleanse/Glaze, Seal/and or Wax.
