Hi guys
I searched the forum but did not find a definitive anwser to what bearings clearences are the best for Hi Comp 172 that will rev to 7800-7900.

My build is:
ITBs
433 vvt off cams + springs + wossner valves
12.8 pistons (since 84 its actually 13)
Forged wossner rods
ACLs ...
1.9 dci oil pump
Arps everywhere :-D

When looking at clearences that renault state, the range is pretty wide.
On the other hand R3 clearences seem waaay to loose imho.

Spoke to northloopcop he was helpful but its been some time and he does not remember everything and i don't want to bore him anymore

I know about f4r crank distorsion problems, that is why i will use the 182 crank or even a ZRP one if needed (mesurements are similar to my 182)

At the moment with ACLs
I messured

Mains: 0.060-0.065mm / 0.0025'
Bigends: 0.075mm / 0.0030'

I messured it with bore gauge and micrometer not with plastigauge to be more percise.
The mains are fine in my opinion but the bigends seem on the loose side
But that is just my opinion

The crank is rotating straight (messured it with a needle gauge).

What i would like to know /learn /hear from the engine builders are your personal experiences and advices
What is the sweet spot between not beeing to tight and risk contact and on the other hand not beeing to loose and drop the oil pressure too much, ofcourse taking into account the added power and revs too

Again i have to state that R3 clearences seem too loose to me, but that might just be coming from mostly honda engine builds.
