Been offered 2 new digital compacts which is best?

Hiya Guys,

I recently had my digital camera stolen and my insurance company have just phoned offering a couple of replacements.

They are both good spec compacts but just cant decide!

They are the Olympus MJU 7000

and the Samsung Digimax NV100HD

I'm not wow'd but a million squillion megapixels as my DSLR only has 10mp and that perfect!

Anyone care to advise!

One has a wider angle lens and the other has a better optical zoom! I want both!

They did say that they would consider any compact of similar price and spec. So would you guys and girls recommend any other equivalent replacement? Maybe a Canon Ixus?

The Olympus looks good but if you want a Canon look at the IXUS 75 or find out how much extra you would need to pay for a G10.

Get the Ixus, I had an older one and it was far better than my current Sony.

well ive had loads of cybershots to start with and then went on to the ixus 50, great little camera after I dropped it and broke it i went out and bought an olympus again nice camera but just not as nice as the ixus. The only thing that annoys me with compacts is that you dont get much flash control or the option to reduce the flash! That I did like about my cybershots

DIY jobby the flash, like make a diffuser. Looks a bit odd but it works!

ive decided on the ixus 95 is. I cant really complain as my original camera they are replacing only cost 85 quid and this one is 250 quid!!
