Before Wax

  RB 182
Just looking for something to put on before the wax to try and give a wetter, more glossy look.
Polish used is Menzerna Intensive and then Final Finish and the wax is Chemical guys 50/50

Menzerna Final Finish used properly should give an almost perfect gloss. Make sure you refine it properly with a a decent amount of work time to break it down fully using a finishing pad.

Any wax or sealant will add very little in overall looks and gloss over a well machined finish.

Sealants wise the best I have ever used is Werksatt Acyrilc Jett which looks grat on Blue.

I would also look into Victoria Concours wax- not only cheaper than the 50/50 is more durable and gives a nicer look.

As said neither will add much in looks over properly refined Final Finish preped surface.

You could also look into adding a Glaze such as Meguiars Show Car Glaze #7 after the polish before the wax.

Will make more of a difference looks wise than any wax or sealant again - needs to be remembered that the LSP really only does add the final few % of looks.

On hand finished jobs the heavy oils of a glaze really add depth and gloss to the paint, but after machine polishing with Menzerna you will see little to no improvement in some case depending on how well you have worked the FF.

Should be able to see it break down tbh. It should go clear, you'll know what I mean when you see it.

Remember than menz doesn't like the cold, so if it is make sure you've got a halogen to hand to heat the panel (just a little).

Copied this from a detail thread I did a few weeks back, if you follow this it there will be adequate time for the polish to break down:

I start by doing 2 quick passes at speed 2 to spread the polish in a 12" x 18" area, then another 2 passes at speed 4. At this stage I tend to put enough pressure on so that the pad spins once or twice a second (I put a mark on the backing plate so that I can see this). I then move the pad over the paint at around 1 to 2 inches a second. I then move up to speed 5.5, doing 4 passes. I then buff the polish off to check the paint, and if more correction is needed I'll do a few more passes, usually 2 at a time. This is the combo I tend to use, and it seems to work so I stick with it!

Hope this helps :)

The whole Menzerna does not like the cold is one of those things a few on Detailing World have made out to be worse than it is, and only really seems to effect those using a rotary.

It has long work times by D.A and maybe a touch longer in the cold - it is hard to but a time on it as it depends on some many variables, pad, paint, temp and amount of product.

As Rich says you will see when it goes clear. Work it till then and remember less is more with Menzerna Polishes how much are you using ?

Yeh the cold thing is a bit over exaggerated, I just find a little heat from a halogen helps it to break down a little easier when working in the cold.
