You could also try http://www.malwarebytes.org/ instead/as well as Spybot and Hijack This to remove what you have.

I've been using OneCare on a couple of our PCs, it seems very clunky and a bit of a performance hog (just as much as Norton that people whine about). Getting rid when the subscription ends in February, will be putting Avira on all our machines.
