What do you mean you just had the car done??
If it's only just been clayed you're good for probably 6 months.

If by 'done' you mean painted, then it doesn't need claying as there will be nothing on the paintwork for the clay to remove

Yeah its just been fully detailed. Not planning on doing it any time soon just looking for recommendations for when the time comes.

Bilt Hamber is highly rated as a physical clay bar or one of the many Clay Mitts on the market.

Lube - Any weak shampoo mix or QD spray.

It would be better if you can find a way to not need to clay often.

Get your paint well protected with a wax or sealant. Before it wears off completely and allows dirt and grime to bond properly, strip it back and reapply, whilst doing this use a tar remover as this will help to remove a lot of contaminants before re applying your wax. This way you should only need to wax once a year at the most as long as you keep on top of it

Well the car was fully detailed about 6 weeks ago and had 2 good layers of sealent applied should last around 3-4months i was told. Planning on applying another 2 layers after the christmas week so im guessing that should keep it pretty smooth if i keep applying on top every few months?

In this type of weather it will have started to where off and dirt may begin to bond. You should notice it's not as easy to wash and won't come up quite as clean. If this is the case best to strip it back and re apply rather than top more wax/ sealant over a dirty base. Wash the car as usual then use a tar remover and quick wash again. Then use your preferred polish or cleaner then re wax or seal

Already? I always thought i wouldnt need to do it for atleast 6months maybe even 1 year?

What, using a tar remover? Use it every time you strip a wax back to clean up the paint. It's quicker and easier to use, and less likely to cause any marring than using clay, plus it will help reduce the need to clay the paint. But only you washing the car will be able to tell when it wearing off and not coming up as clean

No using the clay, i usually apply some tar remover with every wash to help bring anything off that may be sat on the paint. I was thinking of stripping it back end of winter ready for the summer and claying.

I doubt you'll need to clay then after having it done so recently, but there is no right or wrong time to do it, just whenever you feel it would benefit from having it done.
