Im thinking Comodo or Zonealarm , any others that arent too power hungry and let you get on with what you want to do!! Comodo on Xp asks too many questions and has the memory of a siv(sp)

I was using a month trial McFee untill i removed yesterday because i found it was'nt running smoothly enough for me. I installed a One month trial of Windows live one care yesterday which didnt take long to instal, my laptop is much quicker now. I used vistas security status check in the control pannel to view protection options and download. I think windows defender was a temp measure while i uninstalled Mc Fee and installed one care. Works very well for me and think i will happily subscribe in a months time my laptop works perfectley is completley protected hope this helps.

Use the Windows firewall. It'll use fewer resources than any third party software and it's far from obtrusive.
It's just as good as any other software based firewall (as long as it's configured correctly). Anybody who tells you otherwise doesn't have an understanding of how a firewall works.
