Coupled with an energy efficial AM2 processor it'll eat anything you throw at it media wise. Built a few using this motherboard and it's rock solid - mATX too

Thats gona be expensive and that's assuming you can get hold of it. Seems masively overkill for media too IMO. I've seen bluray run on a sempron CPU with HD duties covered by the HD3200 chip found on the motherboard i quoted above. All it takes is some giggery pokery with software and/or codecs. You read that post of AVFORUMS?? My new setup will be like that once built

I do like the look of them it's just the fact that bar firmware upgrades there's not much life in something like that. 'specially with new HD formats and current ones evolving all the time
