Best offer on eBay - how does it work ?

I have had an offer on eBay for the Clio which is less than my asking price (obviously). If I accept is that the deal closed and they agree to buy at that price on collection OR could I accept and then they come to pick up and try and negotiate further ?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

When I was selling a car I emailed the guy with the offer and sorted it out. I didn't accept the offer on ebay as I couldn't be arsed relisting it if he was wasting my time.

  Mint 1*2's for sale-
should be a no haggle agreement- so they should have asked loads of questions- however to be fair the listing ( in this case yours) needs to reflect the condition of the car to the best of your ability-

cheers for the quick replies,

i have been 100% honest in my advert but the potential buyer hasnt been in touch before. I will contact via email/ebay before accepting the offer. I would never buy a car blind like this - i am hoping its not a time waster :S

Flol, In my case the boy done the transfer(£14.7k) then booked a flight for the next day. I couldn't believe it and called umpteen times to make sure it had been paid and couldn't be chargedback. Some people are mental.

This. They could arrange to view the car before putting an offer in so they know the condition etc, but once the offer is in, thats what they pay.

Personally id email them saying you will accept said offer and wont go any lower. Say you'd prefer for them to look at it first before agreeing to give you the money, keeps it outside ebay.

I also think if someone was genuinely interested they would phone you rather than just throw in an offer. I know i would.

you have to pay ebay a percentage of that final selling price so no haggling as you will lose out
