Are these things legal???

A grey area mate apparently there for off road use if headlight washers are not present on the bumpers, however i think there deemed more of an issue if you do not have the optic lens (like the Phase 1s) as it gives a more prominent beam as opposed to conventional headlights were the beam is a more wide burst without the optic lens....

My Phase 1 passed an MOT at a local Main Renault Dealer without any issues whatsoever, mines were 8000k

I think it might be the discretion of the MOT tester tbh

Never had any issues with the Po-Po's either

id go with hids4u.co.uk again. ordered mine the other day and the easiest kit ive ever seen to fit, but then i ordered the 55w rated ones and 6000k and well impressed with the quality of kit and brightness too.

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
mine took H7s, cost me £70 off ebay, i go them from a boy over falkirk way, they are emmense however its i idea to have them aimed under the legal standard as not to cause glare. iirc you need to have some adapter to fit the clios lights because of the way the bulb holders are, you know the plug thing not a clip like most cars.

Nope, striaght in on the 197. You have to drill out the bulb cover with something like a 25/30mm cutter off memory. Well that was for my H1 setup?

Did you have to adapt anything as the lad says above mate or did they clip in as they should?

the kit i got didnt need anything doing just plug the original clip into the ballast then the ballast plugs into the bulb no modifications needed. i got one for the projector lense, a hb3 fitment. and funnily enough mine interferes with the radio too but only for about ten seconds when i first turn them on and the ballast is settling down otherwise no probs at all.
