Take it to your local tip, you shouldn't dispose of any electrical appliances in household rubbish to conform with the new WEEE regulations.

take it to the tip? advertise it 'free to collector' in the local paper?

or just leave it outside your gate; pikeys will undoubtably spirit it away in the night

Blimey, there is regulations for everything these days!

The tip it is then. But still take a hammer to the harddisk.

Take the hard drive out and keep it? If there's anything important on it a PC doctor should be able to recover/wipe it before disposal.

fill it with olive oil, ensuring all oil has got into the motherboard and other components, otherwise it will not fully cook. then simmer it for 1 - 4 hours until golden brown and then add some pepper and serve with french onion soup and parsnips

Just take your hard drive out and keep it if it's still working . Brake the pc up into small bits then sling it in your wheelie bin . I'll get my mum to do it if you want, she dismantled a whole gas cooker and disposed of it in the wheelie bin , lol .
