Better braking

  clio 197
Hi,

I have a 2007 Clio 197 and I am really not very impressed with the brakes.

When used a lot, I experience what can only be described as brake fade and have had some sticky moments!

Can anyone recommend a solution or the best upgrade path?

Many thanks

Doug

best upgrade would be better pads, the brakes on the 197 are already very good.

do you use the car for just road use?

DS2500 front pads - http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=brembo_4_pot_caliper_ferodo_ds2500_pads&cat=60

could get braded lines - http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=renaultsport_clio_197_brake_lines&cat=60

and to loose some more heat a set of AP bells and discs,

They would be my choice of upgrades if I owned a 197 for road use with some more agressive pads for trackdays.

Thanks for responding.

Do you know where I can get them from and will they definitely fit a Clio 197?

Also, would you reccomend new discs and if so what type?

Thanks

Doug
