Got one and not had probs to be honest.

Only thing I can think is log in to your service providers page and choose the option to resend service books. Seems to solve most probs.

I had the same problem with my Curve.
Someone told me to send one to myself and see if that works and it did.
So give it a go, text yourself a picture message.
