Bonnet lock sensor

  Clio 182
So before anyone says search, I have searched but not come up with anything conclusive!

Recently my FF 182 beeps for about a minute after locking, I'm pretty sure it's the bonnet sensor, only thing is..where is the sensor? I cant seem to locate it anywhere!

THanks

open the bonnet, look at the right hand side of the slam panel or above the right hand grill or passanger side grill and poking threw the slam panel is a black switch looks like a black pen head u can push it in and out becuase the bonnet closes on it pull that out as its the switch and there will be a long black wire going to it, somewhere in that black wire there is a short or a cut and wen you lock the car its shorting out

Ah I've found it, The steering went on the car and it looks like they've buggered it up in the process of doing the steering pump, i guess ebay is the best option for a replacement? for the moment could I sort it by putting a piece of metal down there?

All the connecting wires are there, annoyingly it was left unplugged, there is an open hole where the pen head bit should be but isnt.

ahhh okay so you have lost the head! will need a new one mate because u can pull the pen head apart it sits in like a small casing that mounts it in that hole, shouldnt be expensive tbh pal

i think for that kind of part mate renault would be the best bet as it wont be stupidly expensive, or try cliospares you might be able to get one from them, they do 2nd hand bits as they break clios and cliosports, that kind of part is the same on most clios sport or not
