Boot accessories

  ex Clio 172 owner :(
What sort of boot accessories can you get for Clio 172's?

I'm after something to keep all my stuff in.

Iirc can you not get something that goes underneath the parcel shelf? I don't want cheap stuff and argos don't have anything like that anyway.

Yes you want a 172 boot net, plenty on ebay

Cargo net?

I didn't get one! Dammit!

Are they worth having? I want something with compartments to put things like first aid kit, tissues, de-icer, maps, general odds and ends in. Just wanted something genuine meant for the car.

I used to in my old RT. I'm a sucker for those things for £3.99 when you buy £6 of fuel.

I also carry in my boot, two golfing umbrellas and my snooker cue.

I bit of rope to tie the boot down if I find some swag to stick in the boot.

Bottle of water

Paracetamol

Spare bulbs

A-Z

WD40

ant

In the manual for my Clio, it mentions something about an optional clothes carrier for under the parcel shelf. I wouldn't mind one of them too, so long as the price is too high.

yeah there is a tray type thing that goes across underneath the parcel shelf, it has 3 compartments or something

I did have jump leads and tow rope in my old RT. Hopefully don't need them in the 172.

Look at my 172, it shouts, young, exciting, fairly successful person.

Look IN it and it shouts old man with pipe and slippers and yes I do have 5Live and ClassicFM on presets.

  182... again!
Got one in mine, about £35. Would be in accessories brochure. Good piece of kit...has anti slip matting too, I don't hear my stuff sliding about. Keep warning triangle, wheel nuts, tyre gauge, etc in there. Only downside is , makes boot access a bit more awkward...getting a kit bag in for instance, but overall great! Cargo net is good too...keeps disclok under control;)

Aye, I've got a disklok. Used to put it on the back seat in the VTS and wouldn't slide off; side to side maybe though.

With the leather in the 172 it's all over the place and I end up putting it on rear floor but don't like doing that for fear of scuffing seat when picking it up.

Couldn't be bothered with keep putting it in and out of the boot though. Wouldn't be without a disklok though. Best passive protection system there is.

Don't always bother putting it in the boot, sometimes in passenger footwell....never put it behind seats though because don't want to scuff the leather like you.

Welcome to the world of being a fussy full fat owner matey...Lol

At least in the boot if you have a major smash you haven't got a disclok flying around to smack you up even more....

The part number for the compartment tray is: R77 01 416 299.

They are only available in a light grey colour.

Price is roughly £37.

I have a black satchel like holder in my boot. It has 3 compartments and three velcro straps that attach to the back of the rear seat.

  Clio 197
I've got the following stashed in a tool-bag (from homebase). It comes with me in ANY car I drive.

-Warning Triangle
-Tow Rope
-Jump Leads
-Foot Pump
-First Aid Kit
-Recuss Kit
-Screenwash
-Oil
-Brake-Fluid
-Funnel
-De-Icer
-Scraper
-Tyre-Depth Gauge
-Pressure Gauge
-Leather Gloves / Latex Gloves
-Hand-Wipes
-Electrical Tape
-Sissors
-WD40 or similar

Under my passenger Seat:

-Tyre Foam
-Bicycle LED lights (front & rear)
-One LED torch, One normal torch
-A Space Pen
-"ON TOW" sign
-A full bulb kit
-Spare wheel nuts & locker.

:)

So a tool bag is all one needs really... and it can be easily transferred from car to car.

Why has this been moved from 'Clio Discussion' to 'General Chat'.

It is a discussion on a specific part for a Clio. If anything move it to 'Interior...'

Flaming pedantic, I try to post in the correct section.
