Boot floor carpet

I took the spare wheel out of my mk1 172 a while back and due to putting in heavy shopping its collapsed !!!

now the Cup hasnt got a spare wheel in either so is the boot floor carpet stronger than the ones in the standard 172s does anybody know ???

Nah, most people put a sheet of plywood across the spare wheel well.

Im going to have to do something cos me cream cakes are all squashed when i get home

So theres no difference then in the boot floor design ??
