boot light

Can anybody help .iam trying to wire up a led striplight to boot light but can anybody tell me why theres 3 wires going into it ,2 green and 1 brownish colour and can you tell me wich is the live ,cheers in advance.

The brown is the live, the greens go to the boot open switch which just isolates the earth.

cheers davebem ,does it matter which green i attach the earth to as i was just going to use scotch locks to connect the wires.

Im not sure why theres 2 green wires, theres normally just the one.

yeah, or one of those electric touch testers, lights up if the wire is live or not...
