boot won't unlock

basically as above. any ideas how i can open it and what exactly might be wrong? i'm guessing it may be the solenoid but how can i replace it if i cant open it?

This happened to mine execpt mine wouldn't lock,
the boot lock mechanism needed replacing, the part cost me £60
then I needed it it fitting.

To replace it you will have to unscrew the inside of the boot from
inside the car, only 1 screw secures it ,the rest is held on by clips.

Just pull it after you've unscrewed it.
