bootlid

can some one please tell me how to get the bootlid of a 172...i got the 2 bolts inside undone and the boot lifters of but i cant for the love of god get the wiring undone or out..do i gut this or what...i ask as i need to get a new boot,also would a ph2 bootlid go one a ph1

you strip down the inside of the tailgate, unclip the central locking, probably the heating for the screen and pull it all through the hole where the rubber gromit is, then drop it off
