Boss kit rubbing

Hi

Hopefully someone has seen this before, just trying to fit an aftermarket steering wheel and have a momo boss kit, when I tighten the boss on it rubs against the plastic behind the wheel so much so that the wheel won't correct itself if you turn. It also makes an awful clicking sound when turning the wheel.

The boss kit was bought second hand is there any chance that there is a difference between a boss kit for a PH1 and PH2?

They are different. Momo list the MOM7217R for a phase 1 and MOM7218R for a phase 2.
