Bottom of windscreen - any ideas.....

I have a Mk2 dci 100 Dynamique and have the solar/heat reflecting windscreen. At the bottom in the middle there is a rectangle which appears to be clear and non solar/heat reflecting - anyone any ideas what it is for?

Correct-a-mundo. For the french toll roads. Is very useful for your sat nav as well though
