Has any one changed this on there willy/valver to an adjustable one? I can find a lot in the states for sale but cant seem to find any here, anyone know where I could get one?
You can adjust the one thats already on the car . Granted you cant do it from inside the cockpit , but its rare you need to constantly change the effort going to the rear wheels .
I wound up the rear effort to 50% above standard from 80kgs to 120kgs . If your friendly with a local mot place they can measure the amount of braking force going to the wheels on their rollers . I wouldnt recommend to overdo the amount of rear effort , but I like the rear-end to swing around a bit to aid turn-in.
yea I know you can adjust the std one for different loads etc which will effect braking and I dont need to adjust it from inside the car, however I would prefer to have an after market one designed to adjust the braking force rather than the load sensitive one that’s std.
if the load bias valve is setup correctly then dependant on load it will automatically regulates the brake fluid pressure to the rear wheels and so the braking force. the valve your mentioning doesnt compensate for the weight of the people/objects inside the vehicle so its only set up for the conditions the vehicle was in when you set it. the valve just goes in line on the rear brake pipes and it would normally be piped up inside the car so it can be adjusted quickly. this i think would just be beneficial for rally/race cars where different tracks/stages would need a different set up so the valve allows quick and easy adjustments. isnt really suitable for normal road use.
it is not a regular road car, and i would prefer to set up the brakes the way i want it. Also my std is a bit done want to get a new one so though a after market one would be better.
Oh and i will never have any more weight in th back of this car.
