brake fluid cap, gone astray !

  ph1 titanium 172
to cut a long story short the little yellow cap which sits on top of my brake fluid cap has disappeared, the fluid level is fine, and the float sensor is sitting on top, is it ok to drive the car like this until i get a new brake fluid cap ?

NO!!!!

Brake fluid comes out, lands on manifold BANG!

There is a thread here somewhere where a guy took his to Renault and they forgot to put it back on. Car then caught fire whilst driving it with his kid and missus in IIRC

thanks for your help guys, the actually screw on cap is ok, but on top of this cap is a little yellow cap, which stops the float sensor from coming up too high, it's this yellow cap which has fell off, i think what happened is when my engine was re-mounted, it was not pulled forward enough, which over thecourse of a few days rubbed against the top of the brake cap, you can see it's been rubbed against on the top, causing the yellow cap to fall away i think.

thanks for your kind offer burp, i've sent you a pm.
