Brake Issue??

Hey guys!

I was hoping you guys may be able to help me out in identifying an issue I am having...

When I roll up to a slow stop, like a set of lights or a stop sign, I hear a loud spring like sound and I can feel it through the pedal. I have cleaned the ABS sensors, but the issue is still there.

My initial thoughys are ABS, but why is it activating at low speeds? And it feels like it is only grabbing the front right?

Has anyone else had this?

Suggestions?

Thanks all!!
Scott

Thanks for the reply guys!

Sorry... silly of me I didnt mention the car... its a Clio 182 Cup.

More info also, there are no faults shpwing up. The ABS sensor has been cleaned of the brake dust etc.

MWright, I will have another look but was unable to see any? have you got any tricks to make the crack more visible if there is one?

I really appreciate the help guys!

This is a frustrating issue!

If you've cleaned the ABS sensor the rings are in close proximity to them, they're on the driveshafts upfront but at the rear they're not that visible as they are pressed on to the rear of the discs. There should be a little gap to see them.

I have no tricks, mine had a crack was pretty visible when spinning the wheel slowly then with a bright torch on the ABS ring to check. Maybe try and pull the ring towards you - like peeling it off. If not give them a damn good clean (the rings)

Also check they all have the same number of teeth on the ring it'll either be 26 or 44 if they differ it'll need to be changed.

MWright,
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier! Thank you very much! This was the issue, a crack in that ring!
You are an absolute legend!
Thank you again!!
