brown lining foam on bulkhead?

is this stuff fireproofing? i ripped some off today and put a lighter to it and it just burnt up so it's making me think it isnt just wanna know before i rip that out aswell

fook me this s**t weighs a ton! i removed mine. gotta be 15kgs Lado. remove the whole dash to remove it all

I spent about 4 months breaking cars and had to remove that horrible stuff from cars that had been sat for about 10 years, it's like compacted hair or something, the dust off it used to make me sneeze, I even found mice were nesting in it.
My mate removed it off the underside bonnet of one of his cars (sierra cosworth) then the paint started to craze because of the heat.

Be prepared for quite a bit of noise intrusion now!
