Had to have a new back box stuck on last month
and, hell, wouldn't you know it, yesterday the centre section went too, where the mount was, there was just a hole.
probably helped along by the mount on the back box failing on the old and then, within a week, the new back box. This would presumably have put loads of strain on the mount further up .
Never mind, nothing a hundred-and-so quid wont fix. Took it to Kwik Fit, who managed to completely ignore my holler of "Don't go by the plate, you'll end up with Megane parts!" and, after having me sat there for an hour, came in to say.
"the part was too small, think it was for a megane"
you dont say
but they then did a weld 'n' bodge job and everything's rosy.
I wonder if it'll hold out until the service in December? I wonder if the manifold will stay on until next week, or if the doors will stay on their pins tomorrow.
Ah, when French cars get moody
