Wondering if anyone has changed there standard fog light bulbs for LED ones.

I know its a H11 bulb that goes into your fog lights but i aint sure if a LED one will be as bright and as good as a standard bulb.

LED's have come a long way but can't quite match halogen lamps yet

i'd see if you can get an uprated lamp(osram nightbreaker e.t.c)

I have came across some H11 5W CREE LED bulbs and as i drive a lot of small single track country lanes i like to have as much light as possible as its not been the first or last time a dear as decided to have a stroll across the road

Well, I have CREE LED Reverse Lights (search for a thread with the same name), they could make fairly good fog lights tbh. Didn't know they're available in more conventional sizes now.

HOWEVER, they don't have the range that you are expecting. I found they were limited to 30-40m.

@MarcR I've got some Osram night breaker plus fog light bulbs in mine and theyre bright enough and throw the beam far enough to just use these down country lanes (not that I have of course that would be dangerous...ermmmm )

Hope this helps, Jon

You won't beat putting Nightbreakers in the fog lights unless you put a HID kit in there.

Wouldn't use the fogs while laning, you can't turn them off quickly enough should a car come the other way.

F**K the car coming the other way, when I'm driving down miles of single track country lanes i wanna see whats in front of me.
I have hit a badger before and it made a mess of the old car and then i hit a dear in a mates car and it really made a mess so i like see a lot when driving these roads LOL

I don't want to use HID's in any of my lights hence why I'm buying OE xenons
