Like a dick head I've bumped into someone in my car.
I asked if he would get a price on a private repair but he said he didn't have time and wanted to go through the insurance.
I've just had an email from the insurers asking loads of questions about it which I will sort later.
It was a 1mph incident, I think i didn't hold the break long enough and the auto hold didn't kick in so it creeped forward in traffic, 100% my fault.
My car is a lease car through Ocotpus energy, it has some small scratches on the front bumper and a small paint mark on the light (it might buff out but would remove the UV layer).
They are claiming against my insurance, what's the best thing to do, just claim myself as well and get it fixed properly? I have no claims against me at the minute.
Let him claim against me and sort my damage private?
Or something else? leave it and when it goes back to Octopus see wat they say?
Ill try and attach pictures of the damage.
Any good advice appreciated, I haven't had this before and also never leased a car.
