Hi i'm new to this closport community so hello!!!

Thinking of buying a 172 just wonderer what peoples thought on this would be:

full service history,says cambelt changed at 65k in nov 07 but has no recipt but in service book, it has 98k on the clock only has 2 months mot £1675

i'm thinking this is a bit cheap but only 2 months mot????

Does any one no any history of the car YU02 HMZ

Its due a cambelt again this year so just bear that in mind, £500 at a specialist

Seller probably expects the some other work needing doing to get through an MOT as well, as probably already gathered.

I would tread cautious and have a budget of an aditional £1k over what you are prepared to pay for the car - this for when you service + MOT it as it may need lots of things doing.

With any car, the main thing for me is condition. If the car looks great inside and out and youve done a full HPI check, and know a bit about mechanicals then you can make an informed decision on what it's worth.

ok cool thats good to know how much it would cost, is that just for the cambelt or for the other pulleys, belts, water pump ect???

yea i had took that in to account, its had a full servive 6 months ago and full exhaust system a month ago, going to veiw it today so hopefully find out a bit more and see what paper work they have regarding old mot's, bills ect
