Does anyone know wether the caliper from a 172 is used in any other application? Any current Renault?

Yep loads of Renault uses them (Im sure a none Renault models use them but cannot be sure). I'd write a list but I've only got a few hours spare.

The RS ie 172/182 models yep are. The none RS have 99.9995 of the time the Williams/Valver etc camiper the other tiny fraction (1.2's) have the smaller caliper and disk.

The front calipers on the sport are the same on the megane

They are used on the Megane, Laguna and Scenic.

There used on other models though.

Go foruns scrap yard you'll know when you see them on Renaults.

Most high spec Meganes including cabriolets, Lagunas including the V6, High spec scenics and safranes including the V6

Clio sports are different to Megane sports

Think they are the same calipers as the old shape megane & scenic.

Same pads fitted to the above.

May as well get service exchange caliper from Renault they are £38+vat a side now.
