Cambelt timing checking?

  Nissan 370Z
Anyone in the yorkshire area with the right tools to check mine??
I cant get it booked into rs tuning for abotu 3weeks so wondered if anyone could do this?

  Megane 225 F1
Tbh dude, travelling a little to go to a specialist will probably be your safest bet. NW performance?

  Nissan 370Z
Yeah im guessing that too..but if someone has the tools then they can check.
NW performance is miles away!

  Nissan 370Z
Well if i take it to rstuning and it hasnt been set up right then surely i can ask motordepot to pay?

  Nissan 370Z
but i cant be sure the timing is out...so if i take it back and they say it isnt out i guess i just need to believe them

I know you guys say specialists are good! But my local renault garage say they have all the correct timing tools..so surely its just as easy for me to take it to them if all im wanting is the timing checking?

every local garage i speak to has the "correct" tools.....

right up until you look at what they have

Perfect example is a guy on here this week tried to order locking tools, and no-one in the main dealer parts department, OR workshop had a clue about them.

If they're an independent, working from Autodata, then it will be wrong, guaranteed. Autodata for renaults is next to useless, hardly any of it is correct

TDC/Crank Pin - 0000105400 - £8.98
Extra Longer Cog + Spacers + Nut - 0000150901 - £16.56
Camshaft Locking Tool - 0000149600 - £40.50
Pulley Locking Tool - 7711381801 - £40.50

Nothing wrong with asking. Dont see why they wouldnt show you unless the have something to hide. (Using the wrong tools and knowing about it)

Yep thats true!!,
Only with the help of the guys off of here and there vast knowledge did i manage to get the part numbers for the tools i needed to do the job "right"!!!!!!!!!
I did say to the parts guy at Renualt "Bloody good when the customer has to give you the part numbers"
To that he said "is there anything else you want"......

Got to love em.....:)
