Can anyone shed some light

My engine has started to sound very tappy when it's ticking over does anyone know what this could be? . (just to add its a 1.2 16v) Thanks,

have you checked your oil isnt low? and is the tapping coming from the top end or the bottom end of the engine?? try revving slightly and see if the tapping increases.. if it does it could be your hydraulic lifters or if its more of a "knock" it could be a bottom end problem

Could be anything really.

Id look at a misfire first off, they seem to go through coil packs/plugs/ht leads etc and so on.
