Can I dishwasher....

...my rocker/breath bits before I put them back on the car? Just to get rid of all the excess crap on them etc. Anyone done it? I think I remember Jord putting his head in the dishwasher once.lol. Will this potentially initiate rust?

Jord has washed several heads in the dishwasher including mine, never had a problem

I'm still debating on paint. It will crack round the bolts when tightening. I'm wire brushing at the mo and it looks ok tbh. Will see though. Powder coated bits I've go look good though :)

aluminium corodes quite badly act
True, though it depends on the grade and the environment its in - so it could corrode IF salt is left on it.... if however he gives it a good rinse afterwards it'll be fine. Best scenario would be to wash it, rinse it, and dry it, and then leave it for a few days in a dray warm place to let it build up it's own natural oxide layer. If you paint it immediately after washing/wire-brushing it the only protection it'll have will be the paint - a day or two of "passivation" will do it some good.

Personally I wouldn't bother painting it. I'd just give it a light spray of oil once it has rested for a day or so, and have done.
