True, though it depends on the grade and the environment its in - so it could corrode IF salt is left on it.... if however he gives it a good rinse afterwards it'll be fine. Best scenario would be to wash it, rinse it, and dry it, and then leave it for a few days in a dray warm place to let it build up it's own natural oxide layer. If you paint it immediately after washing/wire-brushing it the only protection it'll have will be the paint - a day or two of "passivation" will do it some good.aluminium corodes quite badly act
