Canon 400D How Much?

A work colleague of mine has one of these for sale, good condition, boxed. He told me to offer him a price. What's the going rate and are they a good camera to get used to the SLR world?

Good place to start, but has been replaced by 450D and now 500D so would say you could be looking at a fairly decent price. Have a look on ebay and get an idea of how much they go for.

Granted its a earlier model but it will be my first slr. He said £225 with 4gb card. Got to be worth it?

Thats a pretty fair price - get yourself the 50mm f1.8 and your away!

Not a bad price for a decent camera mate, go for it

For that price, I'd say yes. I have one and love it. Paid £400 for it brand new.
