Car dies after hitting a pothole

  Renault Clio 1.4 tce
Hi I drive a Clio 1.4 tce and hit a pothole this morning. After that the car felt like no petrol coming through and just died after a while. Does the Clio 1.4 tce have aa inertia switch and where is it located? Anything else I can try?

The engine is kind of running or was but feels like there is no petrol supply. You put your foot on the petrol but nothing happens. Radio was still playing and also no messages displayed, no lights on dash.

  Whichever has fuel
Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure the mk3/4’s don’t have a fuel cut off switch like the mk2’s.
I think it’s all done via the Airbag ECU.

best bet is to get someone with the correct diagnostic equipment (CLiP) and get them to scan it for any issues.

airbag ECU’s can be repaired cheaply so it’s not the end of the world.
