when i looked on the cliosport homepage i was looking at the history of the clio, i though the 1.4 rt was 80 bhp then detuned in 96 for the phase 3 to 75 bhp? can anyone shed any light???

Hi mark, yeah i saw that too on the history of clio, but im pretty sure ur right. I read that the mk1 ph1/2 were 80bhp then downgraded to 75 in the ph3. Its in most specs tho there does seem to be conflicting figures sometimes. I scanned this from the clio modding book i happen to have.

Could be due to the different injection system?

Or tighter emissions laws.

we had 3x 1.1 106s

first 2 were basic 4 speed pre-cats - absolutely superb

last one - heavy (airbags, side impacts, PAS, cat, injection etc) - sh*t slow & lardy pile of ....
