Just caught a guide that's been posted for the resyncing of key fobs to the car, since I've had the ph1 it has never worked so I thought I'd give it a bash. When I hold the interior lock button it works as expected, sets off the imibilisor light waiting for the fob - after clicking the fob the car detects the key and turns the light off etc and flashes the indicators.
Unfortuantly as with all things car related it wasn't that easy, the key still don't work It does say that only 2 fobs can be registered to the car though and I'm thinking it may already have two registered, to cut to the chase:

Is it brand new key you're syncing?

Na the one that came with the car mate ( I'm assuming because it's being picked up by the car it's programmed to the ecu)

iirc there was something about keys not keeping their code, which it sounds like yours doesn't.

Do a search for key losing code.

Hmm I've had a quick look, most seem to be slightly different symptoms. Seems odd that the car detects the fob being pressed so I would guess it It is still synced to the car somewhat - perhaps doing the battery off for a bit might do the trick !
