  clio
hello all ,
im a newbie just picked up my clio the other day, but got a few problems at the moment ,

recently the battery was disconnected , and then reconected, but now when i press the key fob for the central locking , the car will start to make a quite beeping noise about 5 seconds after the car is locked , and then about a minute later the car alarm goes off:S

is this a common problem , its a 99 T plate , if thats any help

Could be something to do with the central locking sensor? Its a common problem on the mk2 ph1s like yours and mine. Basically the sensor in the car for the central locking sits right underneath the aerial, and sometimes rain water leaks through the rubber seal and shorts it out. Might not be this but i guess its a starter. Hope it helps

Check the bonnet switch, the alarm is telling you there is one of the contacts open.

IE door, boot, bonnet.
