Central Locking woes.

Just when i get one thing sorted with the car - another thing arses up.

Went out for a run tonight with the new de-cat on (vids to follow) and it was pretty wet all round - my sunroof leaks like a b*****d, but it has never affected anything other than my dryness before now.

It started when my friend got out to take a vid, and then when trying to get back in the door wouldnt open - the door pin pops right up when you press the rocker switch in the car but the door is solid from both sides. odd.

Whats worse, is that when parked up for the night i pressed the button on the remote and nothing happened. I assume its because the circuit board and central locking electronics are wet, but now im bothered tommorrow it wont start. If i get in the car (somehow as the passengers door is solid and the drivers door lock barrel is bollocksed) will there be any way to start it as the immobiliser has to be disabled using the central locking key doesnt it?

I strongly suspect im knackered.
Any thoughts?

Hi mate
I had the same problem a few months back, my key broke and that stupid immobiliser couldnt be disabled. I made enquiries about my key being recoded but the only place i could find to do it was renault. They first claimed i needed a whole new decoder unit for £350! Then in the end they ordered me a new key and they just recoded that for £160 and everything was fine, not cheap though!
I never really asked people if you could disable the immobiliser somehow, dont know if its possible?
You'll probs need your key recoding though before everythings normal again
sorry to hear it
