centre consol screen not working

You know the middle screen thingy in the centre that tells you the time and tempreture etc. bascially noticed last night it wasnt lit up atall? Does anybody know how to fix it?

Hit it, might be a loose connection?

There are two conventional 2.2w panel bulbs in behind the liquid crystal display, not easy to replace, as you have to take the dash top off.

:dead: how depressing, i know for a fact i coudlnt do that do you recon their might be a fuse thats gone?

it's just the bulb. £2.50 take off the dash pop in - done. Or Robbing REMs will charge you £40 to do it.

ooooh so its just replace the bulb i thought it was soldering and crap. no how to take the dash off so i'll take the screen out and i'll see what bulb it is

it could just be one of the connectors is loose but if not then replace the bulbs.

I'm very sure there are 2 bulbs in there.

If you replace them with LEDs you shouldn't have the problem again.

Test them before you put the dash top back on as LEDs are polarised, they only work one way round.

Don't be tempted to pick a different colour, stick to white/clear.

Changing the colour of the display is a whole different ball game.
