Certain pics not on PC

I have a few hundred pics from NY on my iPhone XS Max and would like to transfer them to my desktop pc. My iCloud is to the Max almost and want to clear storage. When I plug my iPhone to my pc and look in my picture section it doesn’t show any of my NY pics but other pics I have taken. I’m puzzled on what to do?

Thanks

What's your storage quota with iCloud at the minute? Are you on the default limit?

It's at the default, i have no interest paying for extra storage like
Me neither - and it's one of the biggest silly 'arrogances' of Apple to charge extra for more space.

However - it's 79p per month to increase the storage capacity ten-times over standard. When it comes to having that large capacity over the potential of losing pictures or files that I haven't had backed up, I don't think that spending less than a tenner per year is that big a sacrifice.

Pay the 79p to get it to save to the iCloud then log into your account on the computer and download them from there.

It might actually be worth checking what your iCloud backup is being consumed with as well?

It could be downloaded music or a film from ages ago, or other backups that you no longer need?
