Chances of getting insured on a 1*2?

So I currently have a Mk2 Black 1.2, but would love to upgrade to a 1*2, or maybe even a Trophy. Would really love to have a trophy tbh. I will be 19 in January, and will have 2 years no claims, the only thing that is worrying me and thinking there is no chance is my postcode, its a D rating I think . Just wondering what my chances are of getting insured, or if anyone has any experience of going from a 1.2 to a sport.

I had to wait till I was 21. Was in D postcode and couldn't get a quote cheaper than 3.5k. Even when I turned 21 it was still 1.3k.

Thats what I was thinking would happen, due to being in a D postcode :\. Never mind I will just have to wait .
