Changed Temp sensor, still not right

  monaco 172
I changed my coolant temp sensor as I though it was that giving me problems. But still the temp needle only gets up to just below half way, if I turn off the heaters then it gets to where it should be.

Is a new thermostat next on the list?

Need to get the leaky rad replaced aswel

ah right, ill get onto it.

one more quick question before the poor car makes its way down to fred. The old temp sensor didnt have a washer on it, but the new one did. Is that normal for a replacement part?

well changed the thermostat today with a 14 quid part from gsf which seemed to do the trick. needle now gets to where it should do. seems money was wasted on the sensor, but o well at least i wont have to worry about it again.

ive noticed though that my water doesnt seem under much pressure, i can take off the lid after a run and it doesnt spray up fast or anything, my first though was that this could be due to my rad leak and obviously not getting up to correct pressure. does this sound feasable?
