Cheap filters, worth a punt?

Wanting some for my sigma but dont want to spend the earth and with the 77mm thread most popular makes are rather pricey.

Anyone tried digital king filters?

This set contains a nice little selection for me, or would it be a complete waste of money?

Seem better than most cheap filters on ebay but cant find any reviews on the net about them.

I'd be reluctant to use cheap filters but it depends what glass you are using it with I suppose. I have seen some sample images with cheap filters and they had a huge influence on the quality.

There are some good quality compromises between the eBay specials and a kaesemanm. The Marumi filters have a loyal following over on POTN.

I bought some cheap Tiffen filters, and they are s**t, and Tiffen filters are generally very good, so no, i would not buy cheap filters of any description.

No point in 2 out of 4 of those so buy one good one you know you need.

I was wanting the polarising and ND filter.

Seen some hoya's cheap, around £30 for the ND but a bit suspicious they may be fake at that price and from HK. Seen Marumi for around £30 too so might go with one of them.
